Will Preparation

“If your final wishes are not decided by you before death, it will be decided by law for you, and you may not like it.”

Did you know that 55% of adults do not have a will, and without a will be distributed according to the law.

A will is a legal document that outlines your wishes and how your estate will be distributed.

For a will to be effective:

  • It should indicate your wishes

  • Be readily found and verified by the court

  • State who is to be your executor

  • Decide who gets which assets

  • Include instructions for your burial and funeral

  • If you have dependent children, you should name a guardian

Three Ways to Write a Will:

  1. By a lawyer
